Prime Minister Robert Abela visits MyConvenience and MySupermarket Head Office in Qormi, meeting with directors and staff.

Welcoming Prime Minister Robert Abela, together with directors, executive team and head office staff of The Convenience Shop (Holding) plc, CEO David Tabone explained how the Group’s strategy focuses on strengthening its position as Malta’s most accessible retail network. This is being achieved through continued investment in scale, operational efficiency and improved customer experience. With a growing network exceeding 100 shops across more than fifty localities, and nationwide delivery through online platforms, it continues to evolve to better serve communities across Malta and Gozo.

A key pillar of this transformation is the transition towards the ‘My’ brand ecosystem, including MyConvenience and MySupermarket, designed to deliver a more personalised and clearly differentiated retail experience. As part of this new visual branding, a growing family of locally inspired Maskotti characters have been created to reflect the unique identity of different Maltese localities, adding a distinctive and engaging dimension to the communication. This evolution is further supported by ongoing investment in digital infrastructure, including the rollout of the MyRewards loyalty programme and mobile app, enabling customers to benefit from rewards, improved convenience and enhanced engagement.

Whilst expanding and upgrading its retail network and increasing its online accessibility, the Group is also enhancing its product offering through strategic partnerships with Maltese and international suppliers, while improving supply chain efficiencies, to deliver greater value, competitive pricing and a broader range of everyday essentials.

During the visit, apart from meeting with the company’s Board of Directors and Executive Team, Dr Abela also made time to meet with staff members, taking a keen interest in their individual roles within the organisation. During the visit, the Group announced the launch of The Sandra Calleja Foundation, with President Emeritus H.E. Marie Louise Coleiro Preca – the first President of the Foundation, unveiling a commemorative monument in the office garden.
