The My Group team came together for a night to remember, as hundreds of colleagues from more than 100 shops across Malta and Gozo, gathered for the first My Staff Party to be organised in this new format.
It was an evening designed to say thank you properly. Guests were treated to exquisite food and flowing drinks, while a high-energy DJ set, perfectly complemented by a live saxophonist, kept the dance floor alive well into the night. The atmosphere was vibrant, warm and celebratory, reflecting the spirit of a group that continues to grow and evolve together.
Taking a brief pause from the celebrations, CEO David Tabone addressed the audience, sharing updates on the ongoing re-branding journey of My Group and the many initiatives being rolled out across MyConvenience and MySupermarket outlets. He spoke about the clear focus on improving the in-store experience, operational standards and service quality, all aimed at delivering top customer satisfaction in every transaction.
A key highlight of his address was the strong growth of the MyRewards app, now active at cash points in over 100 shops. With its generous rewards and growing user base, MyRewards is quickly becoming a cornerstone of how My Group connects with and rewards its customers every day.
This year also marked the introduction of a brand-new internal awards concept, created to recognise excellence across the shop network. Three key categories were launched, with each winning team receiving a commemorative plaque for the shop and cash gifts to be shared among staff members. Prizes went to MyConvenience Mellieha, MySupermarket Qormi 3 and MyConvenience Santa Venera 6. The evening also honoured long-serving team members, with Angelo Dalli and Mark Barbara receiving special recognition for 15 and 10 years of dedicated service respectively. Enthusiastic cheering and applause filled the room as the awards were announced.
Captured beautifully in photos throughout the night, the event symbolised another important step forward under the Group’s new management team. A sincere thank you goes to every member of the My family, with many more milestones and celebrations still to come.
